Asian Medical Students’ Association Universitas Indonesia (AMSA-UI) is the largest and oldest external medical student organization based in Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Indonesia, that has been established since 29th October 1986.

AMSA-UI is a member of AMSA-Indonesia, specifically located in district 2, and nationally renown as the best AMSA amongst 36 AMSA-university in Indonesia for 4 years consecutively. AMSA-UI also has numerous achievements and close partnership with AMSA International.

AMSA-UI gives its members a chance to build friendships and participate in various national and international activities connected to the medical world. All of AMSA-UI’s activities are arranged based on the philosophy of Science, Friendship, Action, and Culture.

Welcome to The Faculty of Medicine Universitas Indonesia.
The history of medical education in Indonesia commenced from the establishment of Faculty of Medicine Universitas Indonesia (FMUI) as the first medical school in Indonesia. After almost a century, FMUI has been the best medical education and research center in Indonesia. FMUI has generated about 20% of the national physician population who can compete globally by promoting the cultural values of FMUI which are integrity, visionary, excellence and care for others.
Based on its mission as the provider of research-based medical education in producing the best graduates, FMUI succeeded in becoming the only medical institution in Indonesia that successfully entered the QS World Ranking Top 300. This confirmed the reputation of FMUI in international through various efforts that have been done.
Internationalization efforts have been carried out by FMUI with the implementation of the Curriculum 2012 according to the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME). The challenges of globalization are realized by the establishment of the International Class program collaborating with The University of Melbourne (Australia), Monash University (Australia), and The University of Newcastle upon Tyne (United Kingdom). The learning process at FMUI is also supported by the implementation of e-learning and the accessibility of thousands of international scientific journals.
The transformation of medical education at FMUI has been integrated with the Academic Health System. AHS-UI becomes one of the pilot AHS in Indonesia. In addition, UI has also been trusted to be a regional officer for AAHCI South East Asia.
The existence of a website is fundamental in this digital era. The FMUI website provides a variety of academic and health information that is expected to benefit many people.
